fiction at it
For those of us intellectuals that have children, and for those of us that read science fiction, it is nice to know that there are children’s reading books that explore science fiction concepts. If you would like to introduce your child to science fiction, then perhaps there is a book I’d like to recommend to you.
It’s one that I own and it is one that I would have my children read, to help open their minds and expand their thoughts. If this sounds like something that you might like, the book is called;
“Monsters From Outer Space,” by William Wise and illustrated by the popular Richard Cuffari (one of the world’s best illustrators for children’s books in my opinion); Part of the Weekly Reader Books Series of Columbus OH; Published by G.P. Putnam’s Sons; New York, NY; 1978; ISBN: 0-399-61089-8.
This book has great illustrations and drawings, and it tells a great story, and has information on NASA, satellites, and observatories. There is even a great illustration from the VLA Very Large Array in New Mexico, the same one that was used in the movie Contact, you will recognize the radar dome. There is also a great shot of an Apollo astronaut on the moon, and one of the 747 crew that spotted a UFO flying by.
Every once in a while a great children’s reading book comes along one which can give your children great topics to discuss with us, and one that might get their mind thinking. This is just such a book and that’s why I’d like to recommend it to you.

science fiction an
Other than thriller and romance novels, science fiction is another popular fiction writing genre. What is most unique about science fiction novels is that they blend together scientific research and escapism making them interesting reads. Writing an excellent novel does not happen overnight. Accordingly, in order for an author to be considered as successful, they need to have written numerous novels with excellent reviews. The following are guidelines on how not to write a novel.
When writing a science fiction novel, it is crucial that the author establishes believability of their fictional world. Where this is not done, the author is not able to win and retain enthusiasts. In addition, the author should develop a plot that is both exciting and thought provoking. Even before an author begins writing their novel, they should first effectively research about the science world. The science written should match with what readers understand about the universe. The Internet is good place to perform the research as it is packed with science fiction devotees who may be able to offer meaningful tips. In addition, they may also offer information on how not to write a novel.
Research and talking to seasoned writers are two ways through which an author may learn how not to write a novel -a science fiction novel. By talking to experienced writers, novice writers may discover that in order to write a successful novel, they need to focus on a particular kind of reader. If an author hopes to write a novel that flies off bookshelves, they should not write with an aim of pleasing every one as they are likely to fail.
